South and East

Breakfast missed us today. We were too concerned about booking a train ticket that we didn't eat! The tatkal train ticket was a failure! Within a minute all tickets were sold. Possibly snapped up by an automated system or 70 of the 1.4 billion Indian people.

Christine felt a little better so viewed the temples across the road from where we were staying. We chatted to our friend before realising it was lunch time. Mum came to the rescue with chapati, daal, aubergine and fenegreek! However, being cautious Christine chose sleep over food.

Following lunch it was temple time. We took to the road heading to the southern temple complex. The road started off nice and smoothly before turning into a bumpy road. Photos taken of the beautiful sculptures before heading to the eastern temple area. More photos, a Jain temple visit and a close encounter with a huge buffalo.

Temples out we headed to the local Chai stall. Unfortunately, the village had ran out of milk! They need to upgrade their number of cows! No chai but at the next stop, Hotel Payal -we ate chilli chicken! A delicious Indo -Chinese dish!

We returned back home and spent the evening chatting and eating. A delicious pasta dish was expertly prepared in a tomato based sauce. We washed it down with ginger and honey tea.

It was now time for bed!
