On the Buses

Our last breakfast in Bir-Billing ...

We nipped to our friend's textile shop to say goodbye and he was pleased to see us. He very kindly gave us a gift of some special hand knitted woollen socks. These will keep our feet warm for sure.

We went above the shop to meet the Director of Deer Park, we said our goodbyes and headed to collect our bags. A short walk to the main road and the bus came almost immediately as we arrived. The bus took us to the Baijnath Mandir.

It was a really old temple and quite busy. We were able to participate in lunch and we chatted to two Indian men who live in the UK.

Back to the bus stop to catch the next bus towards Dharmashala. If we waited 40 minutes a direct bus would take us to Fatehpur and that is exactly where we would be heading. We waited ...

Another bus journey with multiple stops to pickup and drop off and we arrived in Fatehpur at 17.00. Perfect! A quick chai and sweets stop before a short walk to find our accommodation.

We arrived at a beautiful farm and spent the evening talking with our friend.
