Gardens

A slow start to the day. The washing was our first job so it could spend the day drying in the sun. Breakfast was at 10am and we tried Puri at a little stall with a friendly couple.

We walked into the centre and stopped to watch a cricket match on the way. We had planned to go to a picturesque lake but decided it was a little too far on the bus. Instead we drank tea and explored locally. We first went to the pretty Bryant Park and then did a full lap of the lake. Tea is a little addictive so we drank more tea. We also bought some passion fruit, bananas and an orange!

We hung out in the tea shop and booked future trains and hotels. We went to visit Domino's Pizza as a guy we had met at the festival was the manager.

Dinner was paneer butter masala and mushroom masala with naan bread, followed by a free dessert of rice pudding. Outside the restaurant there was a spot of commotion and everyone went to check it out. A herd of giant buffalo was making their way through the town. These things were huge and had massive horns. The police were on the scene and were telling everyone to go inside. These beasties were dangerous!

The sun actually went in for most of the day and it was a little chilly. We drank ginger tea on our way back to base, hoping the hot water in the shower was working.
