Puerto

An early start at 5.30 after a quick coffee! We started to walk back towards the airport and caught a multicab to the SBE terminal. We were shown where our bus to Port Barton would leave from in an hours time and went for breakfast - Chicken curry, chopsuey and plenty of rice.

The bus left on time and we enjoyed a picturesque journey through the centre and the coast of Palawan.

In Port Barton we found our accommodation, put down our bags and went for a swim in the warm water with a beautiful island backdrop!

The rest of the afternoon was a blur. We had booked ferry tickets online through the ferry companies new website booking system. However, there is no facility to pay for the tickets and you are required to pay at one of their partner offices. It does not tell you who their partners are and we believe our 'gold dust' tickets will be cancelled unless we pay. The problem is no one knows how to pay! We are now looking at our options as we need to get this ferry!

In the evening we ate at little street stalls surrounding the central basketball court (BBQ, ice cream, 5 pesos coffee plus a jelly watery drink). A basketball game was in full swing and we are sure the whole town came out to watch.
