Walking Street
A slow start to the morning whilst we made plans for our onwards journey. It was raining outside so we enjoyed coffee in our room. Once the rain had stopped we headed to the bus station to make some enquiries. En-route we picked up some Thai tea - super sweet made with condensed milk.
We then stopped for lunch at a lovely looking cafe and ordered a noodle soup. When it came it was an interesting shade of pink with what looked like a small jellyfish in it. The owner came over and confirmed it was indeed a jellyfish and then we noticed the giant pink jellyfish outside the café!! The soup was rather tasty, though jelly fish a little chewy.
Having made our enquiries at the bus station we stopped off at a beautiful wooden temple on our way to the weekend walking street market. We watched a very good boy band perform and then made our way along the street in search of food. Eventually, settling on a red and a green Thai curry which was delightful.
On the way home we saw a girl at a street stall selling soya milk. We recognised her from a previous visit so we checked our photos and sure enough it is her. Tomorrow we will share our photo with her and see if we can bring a smile to her face. Probably not too hard as that is what all Thai people do most of the time! Thailand is after all the land of smiles.
