Bag

We needed to make a repair to Christine's bag so we searched for a hardware store that we thought may be able to help. We tried various places but eventually a plumbers merchant came to the rescue with a piece of plastic pipe. Fingers crossed it works ok.

We ate lunch whilst it rained a little and then explored a huge Chinese warehouse that sold everything! We were going to visit a pretty Chinese temple but an unfriendly dog put us off. He called a few of his friends over too and they chased us off.

We walked to the market and picked up a range of snacks as we went. One was like a square doughnut filled with condensed milk. It tasted good but eating one everyday might take its toll.

After the market we continued across the river to the cultural trail. On a Friday night they have a market and you can explore some of the ancient ruins as you shop. There was live music from a band and a group of children. There was also a girl singing in her school uniform. The market was a pre-runner to tomorrow's walking street which we are looking forward too.

On the way home we picked up a papaya salad just as the shop was closing. We watched the lady make it and there are lots and lots of ingredients!
