Tibetan Temple

Sunday morning = R and R. No one seemed to rise except Darryl until close to midday. Breakfast was a little different today. A new grain like oversized cous cous appeared called Jowar! The Indian vegetarian diet is full of beans and different grains the downside of this seems to be frying as the main way to cook and use of gee.

We started walking in the same direction as we did the other day towards the Topavan temple. This time we walked up the hill and found the actual temple. It still wasn't the colourful one as that is too far away. Even further up the hill we visited a Tibetan monestray and area of Tibetan homes.

We had a great view of the city from the top. On the way down we stopped for safron milk and peanut brittle. When we arrived at the bottom we found another small stall and ate momos and chatt? Or, at least that is how it was pronounced. We thought chatt was a buttermilk and spiced drink. Maybe it is in the pronunciation.

Back at base we watched India beat South Africa in the cricket World Cup. Christine prepared dinner for the family.

It was a veggie shepherd's pie with banana pancakes covered in apple and cinnamon. There was also a third attempt at bread but the yeast didn't seem to activate so it didn't rise. It looked nice though as it was platted. No one has been brave enough to eat it yet though.

2nd movie night in the home cinema. Yesterday we saw Murder in Venice and tonight Mr Haragon's phone.

Ps. The house Diwali lights are now spreading everywhere!
