Soon it was time to go for lunch. As the meals we had at the little restaurant yesterday were so good. We headed back for more. Luckily there is plenty to choose from, so maybe we'll make our way through the menu whilst we are here!
After lunch we headed to the main beach. Klong Nin. This beach is where the seafront apartments and beach bars are. It is a nice long beach with a few rocks and unfortunately rather a lot of jellyfish. We saw a few washed on the beach and we think their sting hurts like a bee sting!
We found a spot in the shade and headed for the water to cool down and see if there was anything to see under the water. There was sand, a few rocks and the odd plastic bottle. No beautiful coral and fish to see here.
The tropical insects showed up so we left the beach and returned to our hut. A quick shower to remove the salt and we spent what was left of the afternoon relaxing in our hut's hammock.
Can you guess where we ate dinner tonight? Yes, the same restaurant provided another delicious meal which we devoured with haste. The meal sizes in most places we have travelled do not match the size of the ones we make ourselves back home. We always want that little bit more!
We followed dinner with a walk on the beach. It is fairly busy in the day but at night a little quieter. We don't know where everyone disappears to as there are loads of bars and restaurants on the beach. We spoke to a travel agent about a snorkelling tour to visit 4 small islands. A long tail boat will cost 1500 Baht and includes the national park fee (25 people). The faster speedboat does the same trip but quicker this is 1800 Baht and does not include the national park fee (45 people). We were not exactly sure of the logic apart from the extra fuel cost. However, we walked around the corner and a huge sign read ... 4 island snorkelling trip 700 Baht offering exactly the same thing! Hmmm, what is the real price?!
Home to the hut and off to bed ...
