Wind

Snorkelling is off for today as the wind is blowing too hard. The area is in a frenzy on our side of the island.

We decided to have breakfast/brunch at our regular lunchtime cafe over the road. When we arrived a friendly man was leaving. He invited us to join him and his friends at the Karaoke bar a few doors down for a sing song.

We ate breakfast and headed to the Karaoke bar. We thought we would drop in and have a quick look before continuing our walk towards San Juan centre. As we approached we were spotted, dragged inside and the friendly man blasted a song out on the mic. He was a great singer as were his friends. We stayed for the whole afternoon taking it in turns to sing our favourite songs from the huge selection in the karaoke book. The chap we had first met was keen to lend us his motorbike for the day to go around the island!

One of the local dogs was inside with us but he needed a wee. He did it on the floor for us to step in, then his owner turned up and took him out for a walk!!

A thoroughly enjoyable afternoon spent with the friendly locals of Siquijor.

We eventually left, bought some cakes and browsed the market. We called in at our beach front mango stall and they prepared a delicious mango for us as the sunset on the beach.Dinner on the way home was our regular BBQ, which was super busy.

We got cleaned up and went to see if we could find any live music at any of the resorts or restaurants. However, a powercut occured so we went home, without finding any music.  On the way a massive crab ran across the road but could not get up the kerb so we have him a little help. Christine also found a cute little puppy to adore and when we got back to the homestay discovered a tiny kitten to spoil too. The kitten wanted her mum and maybe adopted Christine as her new mother, following her everywhere. The kitten even made it up the stairs to our room! Very cute.
